Scott Homer.
Guitarist | Producer.
Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Scott has pulled a lot from local influences such as Dancehall & Soca, as well as R&B and Soul, with a strong foundation in Alternative Rock. His broad range of inspiration has helped him to create a sound that is unique yet easily identified and familiar. Currently a newcomer to Canada, settling in London, Ontario, Scott is seeking to expand in his musical development by collaborating with Canadian artists to bring a fresh perspective and Caribbean flair to the local scene.
Over the past decade Scott has performed at many live events throughout Trinidad and Tobago including top clubs, breweries and festivals (Carifesta, Skyy Rock Festival, Friendship Festival). He has successfully collaborated on and produced tracks in a wide range of genres and boasts an extremely well-rounded style with experience working in a variety of specialties. He has been an integral member of many T&T based bands and shared the stage with talent such as Skid”Nevely, Gyazette, and Sidekick Envy. Many of the creative projects Scott has embarked on have led to radio airplay and garnered local recognition.
Scott’s playing comes first from a place of melody in order to focus on ideas that can be easily sung to or accompanied. Many of the sounds he draws from come from sources outside of guitars, like synth, or melodies and riffs from Soca and Dancehall. He has a strong focus not just on technical playing but the forces that drive the song as well as the inspiration and creativity behind the melodies and sounds. He is heavily influenced by the producers of Trinidad and Tobago and hopes to add his fresh and authentic sound to the melting pot of Canadian music and talent.
